FYC, It might be worth it to add a tie-in sentence or paragraph to his birthday to see if it helps makes your poll suggestion seem more timely. At a minimum,

Personally, I think it would be a more fitting tribute poll with 5,000+ IMDb vote minimum and 5.5+ IMDb rating minimum thresholds or a hand-picked selection. It would allow you to drop three weaker titles that are rated (5.0 - 5.4) and replace them with four noteable critically-acclaimed movies (7.0 - 8.0) and still have five spots for future movies, or you could just not state a standard and cherry-pick a selection yourself.
