@Pencho15  & @rubyfruit76

I am not one to hair-split, but Laurence Olivier technically did not win Best Picture for Hamlet. It was given in the name of studio, J. Arthur Rank-Two Cities Films. This was the standard practice during the first 23 Oscar ceremonies with the producer accepting for them. He was the producer, as well as, held just about every other key role on the production. So, maybe an asterisk and note is needed to justify it, especially as the Academy gave him a special Oscar for his Hamlet contributions in total. After all, he would have won it, if the rules were consistent with the more recent 73 ceremonies. Plus, he would have accepted the award on behalf of the studio had he been at the ceremony.

Also, you neglected to include Brad Pitt, who achieved the same feat with a Best Picture win and a Best Supporting Actor win in the answer pool.

@urbanemovies You're probably right about adding a note. I don't know why I didn't think about a simple asterisk: I agonized about whether to include him. I tend to be quite detail oriented: I'm not sure why I decided to let that go, although I may have forgotten when I finally finished the poll.

But oh my gosh, I can't believe I missed someone. Shoot, shoot, shoot. And Brad Pitt's wins were so recent. Thank you, so much, for letting me know. I'll add him right away. Phew, thanks again.

@rubyfruit76 I am sorry for not catching it before it went live, but its right now. I think Olivier belongs on the list with the others as an "apples to apples" comparison. So, including him was the right decision with or without the note. * producer's award for Best Picture given in name of studio for films made prior to 1950
