Nice list. My favorite science-fiction romance in the films you've listed is WALL·E (2008).

FYC: Tuck Everlasting and 2:22 (I believe it's called that - it's from a year or so ago.)
They might be more fantasy, though.

Interesting idea for a poll. Haven't seen all of those, but of what I've seen my vote will probably go to Starman (1984), because it is one of my all-time favorite movies. 

I really need to binge Shane Carruth directorial works at some point. He seems right down my alley: an uncompromising filmmaker who knows he's best at low budgets and keeps it that way to have his artistry in check.   

The above mentioned TRON (1982) sounds as a suggestion here, that's why I try to explain why it is not initially in the list, as well as The Hunger Games+ and Divergent+. 
We see the protagonists having romantic relationships there; and in fact, any elements of romance, such as words "I love u", hugs in same context, kissing, making love, and so on, they are in wide use to dramatize stories of all genres.

This poll invites to vote for romance as the heart, the nature, a developing force of a story. For example, on quantity basis there is not so much elements of romance in The Time Machine (2002), but the story is an anthem to romance. The protagonist sacrifices all his comfortable and honorable life, endangering his existence to keep the romance of his life. One more example is WALL·E (2008) - I don't know another movie that might better describe a romance between androids. I may presuppose the only reason why WALL·E is not marked as romance by genre: people used to see romance between people only, for thousands of years. But this poll is for "sci-fi answer on what romance is".

Well, since there is no suggestions for "Back to the Future", now I add the Part 3 in the list. IMHO, the romance between Dr. Emmett Brown and Clara Clayton is a self-explained, closer to this poll idea and the most heart-warming in the trilogy.

Terminator?  Because of Sarah and Kyle?

I always understand that the first day is not final for voting, but am a little shocked with the results. There I see the first place is long-going to stay for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 2nd is WALL·E, and 3d's Terminator (the last one is why I comment to you with this). Well... further it's not a critics, just a wonder.

It seems people vote for their favorite movies more than for the questions asked. Eternal Sunshine as a movie is one the highest rating in my own scale (there are 166 movies out of more than 4400 voted for now, WALL·E is also there), but I can not understand it to be the leader in this poll... Really. 

In all aspects, the most matching are (no ranking): Her, Upside Down, Perfect Sense, Mr. Nobody, WALL·E, 2046, The Time Machine. They are the heart and the developing force of their stories, as well as naturally romance (not simply romantic). 

From the point of a romance between people, the current result tells us that romance is something that has to be erased from memory and replaced by a last-minute affair with a bodyguard. OK, in view of this I much more prefer to vote for romances between androids - they are true romances, at least.

The more people take the simplified love-like-Terminator-stories as a true romance, the closer is the moment when two wrangling persons will end on hard following:
- Romance you!
- Romance off!!!

I'm pleasantly surprised that The Terminator (1984) is at the third place right now. That movie is many things so it's nice to see that people started to appreciate it for things that were mostly overlooked over the years: horror, noir and romance aspects included.
