My Halloween suggestion for an icon of horror cinema with an important double anniversary this year.
2019 marked the 100th anniversary of Boris Karloff film debut. His first appearance in The Lightning Raider (1919) would be the beginning of a long career that would include 207 titles, including posthumous roles.
Karloff would grow to become one of the icons of horror cinema, but his work extended in several genres and he remains one of the most recognizable faces of classic cinema.
2019 also marks the 50th anniversary of Karloff's death.

Let’s face it, we all know the answer’s going to be the monster in Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, & Son of Frankenstein. What would be a better question to ask would be this, “besides playing the monster in Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, & Son of Frankenstein, which character do you consider to be Boris Karloff’s best?
