Shame on me, I just realized 13 days later, that I have rented Sideways at the library, but I already owned that film.

These are the two Sideways side by side.

Fortunately, I have a list of movies that I own!!!

I tried to order films from different countries, but sadly I had to make compromises.

I also wanted to order:

Shoah (1985)

The Apu Trilogy

The Thin Blue Line

The Qatsi Trilogy

Of course, I had the rest of my Criterion watchlist: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0044076&lists=watchlist&ref_=adv_prv

Ultimately, I decided not to buy documentaries (one day I'm gonna buy only documentaries), and I removed The Apu Trilogy due to its price.

I received The Rules of the Game, but I haven't read them yet.

I also received Ingmar Bergman's Cinema. Now, my Bergman collection (39 films) is larger than my Hitchcock collection (24 films).

Sadly, Don't Look Now went OOP. I got a refund. The only films I haven't received yet are In a Lonely Place and Wings of Desire.

PS: No images today 😥, I'm not writing this on my laptop.

I'm only occasionally buying games on steam.

In the recent past I bought some Playstation 3 games on DVD.

The last movie I acquired on DVD was La Vie en Rose 2007 as a birthday present.

Over 20 years ago I rented movies for home VCR.

Rented:

Le juge et l'assassin (1976) (Bertrand Tavernier)

Quai d'Orsay (2013) (Bertrand Tavernier)

L'enfant (2005) (Palme d'Or and Dardenne brothers)

Annie Hall (1977) (Best Picture and Woody Allen)

Bought:

The Beguiled (2017) (Sofia Coppola and Best Director at Cannes)

Fun fact: I was supposed to see that movie in the summer of 2017. I showed up too late at the projection, and instead, I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017). So after four years, I'm finally going to see The Beguiled. 😀

Rented:

Cléo de 5 à 7 (1962)

I hope this film has an extremely good reason for not being 2 hours long. Because if Varda can do her math 5 à 7 means "from 5 to 7", that is 2 hours, not 1h30, and therefore, the title is a misrepresentation of the film.
