Oh, oops, I thought this was for predicting the winners.

@rubyfruit76 Technically it was both. But that's moot since it's all over with.

Only two of us made predictions? C'mon all... : ) (Who remembers when we awarded a statuette to the prediction winner? Lol)

@rubyfruit76 This is a nomination thread, not a winner prediction thread. I couldn't find a 2024 JFF Oscar Winner prediction thread. I think DC usually set it up each year in the past, but likely has other things going on nowadays. I will try to remember to create one for 2025, as I found it be fun too, to out predict the experts or just seeing how close I can come to perfection each year.

@urbanemovies One year I did a poll where all members ranked their choices for Best Picture following the same procedure as The Academy to see which film would be our winner. I remember Whiplash won our Oscar. Then they told us not to do JFF threads in Get Satisfaction and I stopped, but we could do it again I guess, either with this year films or the next one. After all this is not Get Satisfaction anymore and we do have JFF threads.

@Pencho15 I like that the Oscars use a ranked voting system. I think it is more fair and adds an interesting dynamic that needs to be factored when making predictions. I would like to see that poll again in the future.

@urbanemovies I wonder how winners could change if the ranked system was used in all categories
