Some of those Razzies aren't really a knock on the quality of the movies.  Metropolis, e.g., got its noms decades after the film was made for a score put on a bad cut of the film distributed by someone unrelated to the original production.  Others are kind of dumb.  And Katie Holmes is bad at acting, and Batman Begins is still an OK superhero flick otherwise.

Anyways, I think the worst director nominations for Stanley Kubrick and Brian De Palma may be the most misguided Razzie selections.

I've corrected it. Thanks.

Several didn't, but Metropolis is utterly absurd. The nominated awards had nothing to do with the actual movie.

Congratulations! :D ...

... but 'Metropolis' (1927) has razzies for soundtrack (Queen & Giorgio Moroder)?

That was drawn in a time when both weren't even born. Mercury doesn't stand in the credits.

Moroder does. What's that decision. I know why I never took RT as a serious criteria.

To hear the original, turn the sound of and enjoy the era of silence.

@Breumaster To be honest, silent films were rarely shown in silence back in their day. There was almost always some kind of music going on in the theater, usually via tapeurs, designated piano players. Sometimes there were music sheets send with the film, in order for the tapeur to play something director approved, so there were film composers even back in the silent era.

I know. It's just that they shouldn't count it to the movie makers. I've seen many movies in b&w. I wouldn't count it on Stan & Ollie, or the director, when someone of their company picks the wrong score. That's another thing today. Today there are all options to use. When they ***k up today, it's their own fault. ;)
