Poll Suggestion: Films "Severe" Everywhere

With these movies, there is no half measure, they are ranked severe in each section of the Parent Guide.

In your opinion, which one was the hardest to watch?

Rule: More than 10 000 votes

It wasn't a poll suggestion at this point, I was trying to see if it was viable.

It seems viable checking nearly 500 of the worst movies I could possibly think of and all the NC-17 rated, I came to the conclusion that these are very rare.

It is a bad habit that I have. In french, we always use the comma.

It's not a 'bad habit", it's a cultural difference.

Cinephile / thenolanfan,

Is there a specific reason why you chose to remove your avatar and user name for your Get Satisfaction profile or are you simply experimenting?

I restored it, it was an experiment.

I don't know how they didn't patch it yet, I was also unable to report it to them.

'Great idea for a poll! How did you calculate the percentages? Perhaps you should note what the percentages are referring to? (And actually identify the "Parents Guide" as being "IMDb's Parents Guide.)

FYC:

Blue Velvet: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090756/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg (all but one "severe" -- I'm guessing that it doesn't qualify but wasn't sure)

May I also suggest two small edits to the intro? (the first is just a semi-colon -- or colon -- instead of a comma in the first sentence)

With these movies, there is no half measure; they are ranked severe in each section of the Parent Guide.

In your opinion, which one was the hardest to watch?

Rule: Movies have more than 10,000 votes on IMDb.

As you suggested, I corrected the description.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had already checked the parent guides for Blue Velvet, The movies on this list really need to be "severe" in every category.

I really want movies that are over the top everywhere, there is a lot of movies especially that dared extreme violence, but avoided explicit sex/nudity
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, the percentages are really dumb math. It wouldn't work on any other movies, it works on those ones because all their categories are ranked "severe"

Basically, I counted every vote for "severe" in every category and divided it by the total number of votes in the parent guides of the movie.

But honestly, the percentages are only trivial, I can remove them if there is a problem.

Oh, I get it (the percentages)! I hadn't noticed that there were votes, such as "197 of 213 found this severe." Now that I finally figured that out, lol, I think including the percentages like you do is a good idea.

I'd make just two suggestions to make it more clear for those who aren't well acquainted with the parents' guide:

1. Indicate in the intro that the Parents Guide is something on IMDb: "With these movies, there is no half measure; they are ranked severe in each section of IMDb's Parent Guide."

2. Perhaps add, below each film, a little text along with the percentage:
"Percentage of people who found this movie to be severe (in every category): 87.30%"

Funny to see that A Serbian Film despite having 13 times fewer votes on its IMDb page, has only 28 votes less than Requiem for a Dream.
