The IMDb has 27 films listed as romance in their top 250, your list has 25.

You're missing:

Koe no katachi

Nuovo cinema paradiso

@Pencho15

Thanks, added.

Strange though, I updated the list only a few hours (maybe 1-2 days) ago and didn't find those. 🤔

Koe no katachi is no longer in the IMDb Top 250. (It keeps moving in and out)

Hi Boss,

Because the Top 250 changes, I'd suggest noting the date so it stays updated and accurate. (You know, something like "from the IMDb Top 250 list, as of January, 2021, is your favorite?" -- or just noting at the bottom of the intro.)

There are so many good movies in this list and I haven't seen four, including 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire,' which I've been wanting to see, so  badly, since before it came out. Right now I'm deciding between a four-way tie, lol. I love polls like that.

If I add a certain date, will I be able to update the poll later? (add a new movie and re-push?)

Edit: I created a few more polls for a few other genres and I didn't mention any date on them. If it's not a great issue, I'd like to maintain the same style with this too.

(I do not add dates to polls I want to update in future)

You could definitely update them in the future to a degree* but adding a date keeps the poll updated in the sense that it will remain accurate no matter how much time goes by, instead of becoming obsolete. *Remember that you can't always update polls: for instance, you can't remove a film that has votes (and of course movies fall out of the Top 250) and you can only have 35 options, of course. Adding movies up to 35 is, of course, fine but those will be updated because of adding the date of an added option in a repush.

Because adding an approximate date is such an easy thing to do, the pay off definitely seems to be worth it.

You certainly don't have to because they've already been pushed but I would add the approximate dates to the other polls, too. You could keep them consistent that way, as well as accurate. We've been too busy with all of the other changes (character pages and polls being stopped and needing to recast old character polls as image polls, switching to Get Satisfaction and then to Sprinkler, etc.) but we used to close polls that were obsolete or otherwise inaccurate because of timeliness issues. I don't foresee us doing that again but it emphasizes its importance.

@rubyfruit76

I've added the date.

I'll update the other polls soon too.

Thanks for the advice, btw.

No problem. I was just about to leave you a message that it is your poll, of course, and that it would be pushed, regardless. That still applies. Thanks for seeing it simply as a recommendation and not a requirement. : )
