I recently watched 'The Lighthouse' and damn boi!

He and Pattinson killed it.

It's a shame they weren't nominated at the Oscars. Willem Dafoe should have won an Oscar for 'The Lighthouse' ... wasn't even nominated. -_-

I also first heard of Willem Dafoe thanks to Mr. Bean's Holiday. Strangely, nowadays I'd vote for The Last Temptation of Christ or The Florida Project, but my father stays loyal to Bean. He laughs himself silly over that scene.

I just saw it in The Lighthouse, and its perfomance is captivating, insane and scathing, it transmits the madness and the descent into the abyss of the character to perfection, it is not only his best performance but also his best film.
