SF tv series (90s or early 00s)

I watched this (most likely US origin) TV series in late 90s or early 00s on a Romanian TV station (ProTV). It was  (perhaps) some kind of anthology (not all episodes with continuity). Unfortunately the only thing I remember is from the intro - it was a hot/ good looking girl who is making a call and a answering machine  is replying with - this number is disconnected (or no longer existing)- and then she opens a door within her house and a universe/ cosmos/ space image appears in front of her eyes. Like she was part of a twilight zone universe... Perhaps was more of a horror/ paranormal type of tv series than a pure SF. Something like in the movie Videodrome- at least from the intro - which unfortunatelly is the only detail I remember. I know is a long shot but perhaps someone might remember it. I tried everything- all the lists of SF tv series from 90s and 00s---nothing....

What I can tell you: That reply you mention is an example of a telecom intercept message, an automated recording played to callers when their call is not connected to a receiving line. What I can't tell you: Anything else about it. Doesn't sound at all familiar to me. And I checked the list of articles that link to "intercept message" on Wikipedia, hoping it might've been mentioned in an article about the show, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything there.

another brief remark regarding the detail with the 'intercept' message- I am pretty sure was just in the intro- which runs before every episode- but not within an actual episode (I might be wrong though...). Anyhow I remembered (as a child) I was impressed about that intro and I would hope that some of you might remembered it too... perhaps even someone from Romania who also watched it on proTV channel.

In case somebody was intrigued by my post, I have finally discovered it after an archeological tv research (browsing old tv guides from that time frame- late 90s). My mistake was the location of the detailed that impressed me and was the only thing I remembered - it was not inside an intro of each episode, but only a scene from the first episode. So- was Nightmare Cafe: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103502/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 The worst thing is that I overlooked this when I made on imdb a list search for tv series from the category - SF anthologies...It was there, but when I browsed teh intro the scene obviously was not there...But then I cross correlated it with the old tv guides research and I made a seek also within the episodes... and ... evrika...
