Report Fake Profile

Hi,

I wanted to report again this fake profile: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm14820642

The guy in question, has a lot of fake credits in both Film and TV series I am sure he didn't work on.

You can clearly see it by the many credits he put on his profile (he reported more than 30 film and TV credits in just one year, which is impossible even if you work as daily) and by the fact that his name do not appear in any of the ending credit you find at the end of the many Streaming Series he said he's on.

I tried to see his Linkedin page, he clearly shared his IMDb profile and he says that he works with big production and fashion companies, I can guarantee from my colleagues who worked in these Production Companies he said he's on, and nobody know this guy.

Also, I find really suspicious as he shares posts where he request "Potential Female SuperModel" on local area.

By writing this I don't want to quickly assume his position or that he's trying to lure women for personal pleasure, but I would recommend to quickly delete his IMDb profile to avoid anyone fall into the trap.

Thank you

I'd agree with this claim, not looked into a single credit but his page is only 17 months old, and outside of LinkedIn and IMDb (and IMDb data scraping sites) he has no online presence for any of these companies or productions at all, I had a decent look into that, which considering these pages making it look like he's the busiest man in Hollywood working simultaneously for many different businesses and companies at the same time, not too mention productions filming at the same time on different continents, not even wasting my time checking any titles here.

There is a unprofessional looking post on facebook full of fake nonsense (using the producers names from the show 'Euphoria') regarding an upcoming production requesting beautiful girls 16 - 23 which is only other place I can find his name online.

@VonPunk I checked at least 10 titles btw, his name is nowhere to be found in credits. Already said this here 1 month ago after Michelle ignored @Matsu27 's report posted 2 months ago (I say ignored not missed because she actually visited the thread and marked it solved): https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/report-a-fake-profile/623c5df7afeb937913b0036c?commentId=6400cbd7e77df6101e398f8c&replyId=640508771f641326d1916ac3

But that also didn't get a response for another 1 month. Keeping a fake profile with important roles such as "production manager" for the most high profile titles such as Avatar The Way of Water, Avatar 3, No Time to Die, Indiana Jones etc.. for 3 months even after it was reported multiple times, which is apparently used as a means to lure young women. I don't know what to say about this.

@mbmb Good work. Well with 3 of us looking at it from different angles and coming to same conclusion, they gotta delete the entire page.

@Matsu27 Good catch, the staff here keep saying to people when they are having problems with a credit addition to a high profile title or name that high ranked titles need evidence. But then how this guy is able to add his name to all of these high ranked titles, just after his entire page was deleted?

This thread was silently marked "solved" without a response btw, maybe instead of silently marking the thread solved, if they took some "steps" it wouldn't be so easy for him to do the same thing again.

Well, there might be same malicious entities out there who know enough of IMDb's proprietary information to game the system by circumvention, especially seeing how this kind of stuff has occurred since the beginning.

Hi,

I wanted to report (again unfortunately) this fake profile: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm14820642

The guy in question used to add a lot of fake credits in both Film and TV series I am sure he didn't work on.

It's been reported in past and now is adding again with a new Profile (see the link above).

You can clearly see it by the credits he put on his profile (he reported to work in Film and TV Series at the same times in just one year, which is impossible even if you work as daily) and by the fact that his name do not appear in any of the ending credit you find at the end of the many Streaming Series he said he's on.

Thank you

Hi @Matsu27 & All -

Thanks for all the comments, and my apologies for the delayed staff response.

This reported name page and all related credits have been removed.  I have also filed a ticket (#P88517825)  for the appropriate team o highlight this specific use-case and review further processing improvements that will help prevent these occurrences of inflation.

Thank you @Michelle ,

It is no problem for me if it is late, the important is that it's done.

I will keep monitoring if he might be creating another one, but in the meantime I can be assure.

The profile is not fake. May be exagerated but not fake. The person who report such profile has been refused at several casting. This is a revenge.

I am sorry for your luck of information, but, As per definition a Productions Manager could not appear not have social medias. They handle money and they should receive no pressure from outside.
Most of those people are continuously blackmailed.

Not that I care, but before pointing a finger you should carefully check.

"As per definition" a "production manager" can't have onscreen credits as well? They have to be hidden from the public because it's the most dangerous job in the world? If this job "as per definition" is this dangerous and they have to be hidden from the public and not even listed in onscreen credits, why use IMDb to add these so secretive credits that must be hidden to protect "production managers"?

@sandy2

I do not know how you can resolutely state they can, and how confident you may be in all your sentences. Based on what if I may ask?
I am very happy you live in a safe and quiet environment, but, sometimes, according to the project, your life may not be so safe at all.

In same are of this globe there are people who try to steal money in any possible way, so they may try to "convince" Producers and managers to prefer some company instead of others, or to simply pay some money just for the right of working in same place.

Try to consider projects like Narcos, Or Gomorra. I would suggest not to be so categorical in all your statement. Some human being have gone through some terrible time, and not everything may fit into your excell file. Regards

@Danziltd So your argument is that one person where no one can verify a single thing on his page is real but we can't verify anything because it's possible his life is so dangerous he has to stay low key, but at same time he had an address for casting for young women on Facebook, a LinkedIn and his credits (that are secret) splattered all over world's biggest movie website. Yeah that all tracks.

Yeah my point is that you can't judge, you can't state, you can't point your finger one someone without even knowing a single little thing about other people. All of you that are writing here, are you all in some huge projects like his? Have you ever worked in some of these movies? Do you have any idea about how it really works and what's behind? Or your is just a game? I am a 56 years old lady...

@Danziltd We know the guidelines of the site, that your examples were not good ones, how the industry works and that's it's suspicious you turned up, we'll leave the rest to Interpol to investigate. Thread can be closed now as the matter here is resolved.
