Editing family members information

I have three family members on IMDB that I would like to edit with correct information. My grandfather (Philip N. Mitchell) has the most extensive IMDB page. The name of his wife, my grandmother, is her stage name, not birthname, and the birthdate is very incorrect. I tried to add her birthname and correct the birthdate to her IMDB page but also not allowed. I then tried to connect my grandmother to her sister on IMDB, whose name is also a stage name. Not allowed. Can I get more information on how I can get control of their pages? Also, it did say that proof is needed. What kind of proof? I can't connect to ancestry. Any other suggestions? Also, I'm curious how any of this incorrect info was added considering proof is required. Someone who clearly doesn't know my family connected these names which are incorrect. Thanks for the help.

Hi tamim- If you wish to take more control of an IMDb page(s), in this case of family members, you will have to claim the page(s) with an active IMDbPro membership. An important note on this is that you will need an individual  IMDbPro membership for each of the name page(s) that you wish to claim. Once you have an active IMDbPro membership and the claimed page(s), you will be able to manage all other information within that page(s).  For more information on how to sign up and what's included as an IMDbPro member, I encourage you to the review the following Help Guide. In this other one, you will find How to Claim your page. In regards to the supporting evidence that we request, whether it is for a Birthdate/Death date or Birthname, we are looking for links or uploads to public records, social media links, printed publications, or official documents (driver's license, birth certificates, passports). Something important to note is that we do not accept evidence from unverifiable sources. For example, Wikipedia or any collaboratively edited wiki-style sites unless these include online citations and external links which provide supporting evidence of the subject's birth date, death date or birthname. For more detailed information on our Biographical data guidelines and on the acceptable evidence, I encourage you to review our following Help Guide.  Let us know if you have any further questions/issues! Cheers!

@Maya Thank you so much for the response. From the help guide it looks like I can upload documents. That's helpful I could not find any site on the internet to link to that gives information for free.  I guess this isn't a big deal. I just thought it would be nice to clean up their pages with correct information. I am frustrated that someone decided to put incorrect information. I'd still love an explanation as to how that happens. Thanks again.
