Can I upload a headshot of my long dead great grandfather to his page without going Pro?

@Michelle​ Is this on any roadmap? The longer IMDb waits with this, the more photos via relatives the site will miss, possible forever in some cases.....

Unfortunately, while this is not currently on our roadmap, we are aware of the image contribution limitation and we will continue to monitor the Idea thread for votes/comments.

If member stops paying for IMDbPro membership the photos are removed??

Yes.  If a claimed page owner has uploaded images to their page and they decide to discontinue their IMDbPro membership, once that membership expires their managed data (including images) will be suppressed.

I understand the frustration, and I also know that this has been a long-time feature support request.  Although this is not on our current roadmap, I have raised it again for visibility with the product team and our staff will continue monitoring requests on the existing Idea thread.

IMDb does not pay contributors to add contributions. 
But some contributors have to pay IMDb to add contributions.

and IMDb get money from all the advertisements
