CASTING SCAM USING IMDB
I want to make IMDB aware there is an international casting scam going on. They are using established film projects that have been sitting dormant,
creating fake email address for the casting director and reaching out to Non Union actors all over the world. The Scam is offering an audition for a specific film project, telling the actor that are on the short list and then saying that the producers will cover $2000 fee to join SAG-AFTRA but the actor has to pay the remaining $1000 and that the producers can help them join the union to work. They are trying to scam actors out of money with the promise of work and then ghosting them after they get the money. I need to get the word out. The films currently being used as the lure are Lockdown Contours and Paradise Garage/Untitled Larry Levin. I've been in touch with the producers of those projects and they are also becoming aware of the scam which they are not a part of.
Can IMDB do anything to help. PUT a Post out, warn filmmakers and actors?

IMDb isn't able to get involved in third-party activity that takes place outside of our platform — such as fraudulent emails, audition offers, or payment requests made by individuals impersonating casting directors or productions. These matters fall outside what we're able to investigate or act on. That said, if you become aware of any inaccurate information listed on IMDb related to the productions or companies being used in this scheme, you're welcome to submit the applicable corrections or deletions through our contribution form, and our team will review them.
We'd also encourage anyone affected to report fraudulent activity to the appropriate authorities, as well as to SAG-AFTRA directly, since impersonation and financial scams of this kind are best addressed through those channels.
