When does an User ID become available?
Apparently 12 years ago I created two profiles from two email addresses.
Profile A, which was never used and has just been deleted today
Profile B, which has been in user for 12 years
I only found out there was a second profile coz I wanted to update my user ID. Which then prompted the notification that the profile name was taken. Because I am the only one with that name I knew it was me. So I logged in and tried to updated the name.
However. when applying the User ID from profile A (the never users one) to profile B (the one in user, a notfication popped up saying:
The User ID you entered has already been taken :
So then I deleted profile A. but the notificiation still appears. So my question is:
How long does it take for me to user profile A's users name and apply it to profile B.

Hi @robinhio84
Once a User ID has been used by any account, it cannot be used again or by another account, regardless of whether the original account has been deleted. The reasoning behind this, is that you wouldn't want anyone to use a past User ID of yours, as they would possibly be able to imitate you.
You can change the User ID on your current account, but unfortunately, cannot use a User ID that has been used by a different/separate account.
