Short biography information on celebrity main page blank…is this a new change?
Hello
I like to watch old TV shows, and when I do, I recognize many of the faces, but sometimes can’t put a name to a face. When I can’t put the name to the face to satisfy my curiosity about the person, and what’s become of them? I have been using IMDb. I look up, the episode of the show and find the celebrity in the list of the cast and go to that celebrities page. Suddenly over the past day or two, when I go to the main page for the celebrity the area below their picture is now blank and missing the short biographical paragraph and there is nothing to click on as a link to take me to their full blown detailed biographical page.
My question is this is this a change that IMDB is doing and rolling them out slowly across their website? If this is going to be a permanent change, does anybody know if this is their way to force people to purchase a subscription to their IMDb pro product? If it is, let me add my voice and say that is 100% disgusting and unacceptable. The professional version of their site Should remain just that something professionals in the industry should have to subscribe to if they want the very specialized information available. Simple biographical information on a celebrity or general information should remain free. That type of information is available through a more detailed Google search or using Wikipedia, what has been on this site has been wonderful information for the casual user and taking it away when it is free information available elsewhere is beyond disgusting .
I am looking forward to everyone’s reply to find out whether it is just a glitch as I hope it is or if the website people are going in the realm of being greedy and disgusting.

I gave a variety of ages of actors. I like to watch a lot of retro TV, especially the ones from when the world was decent and had good moral values as opposed to today. And if you look below the initial picture area of the actor on their main page right below it there was a black area that used to be populated with a short, usually one paragraph bio that included, their date of birth, and where they were born and on occasion their birth location. Now there’s nothing for so many of them and you cannot even click on the black area to get taken to their full length biography page because the black area is not a link it’s just a plain black area, which is the black background behind everything that sits on top of it.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. I am attaching a few pictures of what I see on my iPad. I apologize for neglecting to state that. I am viewing the pages on my iPad Pro, using my safari browser rather than the app which I have never been able to get comfortable with because I feel the view is using that app and the navigation is just very clumsy. Here are some pictures showing the blank area below the pictures as I described, and as I see them on the celebrities, I used as examples and provided you the links to.

I think I just answered my own question. Above the picture areas and below the banner for the site, there is a very small link that says biography. I clicked on that link, expecting it to take me to the biography channel but instead it actually took me to the individuals, biography, page the way the short biographies below the pictures used to do. I just wish they would make the text larger and more obvious. That takes care of my question. Thank you to everybody who replied.

@diana_prince_5566268 Nothing has been removed on our side so this is a local issue on your system, sorry.
As @bderoes points out, please follow the advice in https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/common-issues/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF# — the most likely explanation is that you have a misconfigured ad blocker (or other plugin promising to somehow “enhance” your browsing experience), in which case you should complain to the authors of that software.
