Share Movie Pages on Facebook - Title shown in different language

Hi there, I would like to share movie pages from imdb on facebook (e.g. Death of a Salesman 1985). But the title does not appear in the newsfeed in English or in my language (German), but in a completely different language.
Can that be changed?
Many greetings

Hello @ThomasNew

In order to help you, please provided us with screenshots of what you see when you movie pages.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much. Attached is a photo of the film page as I see it and one as it appears on Facebook's News Feed. Can the setting be changed?

Many greetings

@ThomasNew Thanks for the screenshots. We're having a bit of difficulty reproducing this on our end so just making sure we have everything checked - is this preview after you have posted to Facebook? If so, it sounds like it may be a result of a Facebook setting/configuration resulting in the text appearing as the Danish title.

Many Thanks. Yes, the (first) picture shows what it looks like after posting. I would like it to look like your picture, with full poster view and English (or German) title. It also appears in Danish on other films. I can't see anywhere that I chose that language. Do you have any other ideas?

Hello @ThomasNew

All our pages are indexed automatically as we don't submit individual pages to Platforms such as Facebook and Twitter or any other platforms. Because of this we have absolutely no control over how they appear in their results.

For further assistance, I would recommend to reach out to the platform directly for help.

Sharing a movie on Facebook shows the title in the wrong language (Swedish I think).

For your Eyes Only (German: In tödlicher Mission) will be in swedish --> Agent 007 - Strengt Fortroligt.
Until now, the german or english title was always displayed.

My Content Settings:
Title display country/region: German
Title display language: German

What's wrong?

I don't know about this, but I'd guess this might be on Facebook side? Actually, this post seems to explain the issue:

https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/share-movie-pages-on-facebook-title-shown-in-different-language/61ebefb89ae52c4a67518af8

Footnote: Also in your case the title is in Danish (not Swedish). The only way I know to see translated names is however to go to the bottom of the movie page and press "Edit page" and pretend to want to edit "alternative title".

@JAG If helpful - Alternate Titles (AKA) can be found on the "Release Info" page, under the "Also Known As (AKA)" section. For example:  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082398/releaseinfo#akas
