Removal of IMDb Account “Sign in with Facebook”
Effective October 06, 2022, you will no longer be able to use “Sign in with Facebook“ to access your IMDb account. You can maintain access to your account and any saved information by setting a password on your IMDb account using the reset password process. Once you have done this, you will be able to use the “Sign in with IMDb” option for any future logins.
If you previously used "Sign in with Facebook" to access your IMDb account, please take the following steps to retain access to your account:
-
- Go to the IMDb Reset Password Page.
- Input the email associated with your Facebook account and select "Continue". You will receive an email with a link to reset your IMDb password.
- Return to the IMDb sign in page and select "Sign in with IMDb" to log in to IMDb with your email and new password.
If you have previously followed these instructions or have already set a password for your IMDb account, please return to the sign in page and use the "Sign in with IMDb" login method.
If you do not reset your password, you will not be able to access your IMDb account and the associated data (e.g. contributions, lists, ratings, recommendations, etc.).

Just discovered that facebook login is no longer available, so i tried to put the email that is associated with my profile and it fails.

I signed up a long time ago via Facebook when I had a live.com email which is long forgoten today and is changed on Facebook as well.
My original ID is markolitre and I am still logged in on the site. But I cannot change the email. When I try I'm asked to login via the live.com email.
How can I change my login email and password on IMDB since I do not have the live.com email anymore?

I have used my email with Facebook login before and after a while I forgot and entered with my Google account with the same email. When I reset my password it automatically connected it with the second? Account so now I can't reach my actual account with all my lists. It's open only at my phone app and I can't find any other way to recover it and enter from my computer. (I know my actual accounts' username)

Hello - I know my original email address and password, but I’ve been using Facebook login. When I use original email and password for imdb login the site is trying to send me a secretory link. Original email is now closed, so I’m sent to customer services, but that page doesn’t work. Help please. Don’t want to lose everything I’ve added to my profile.

My IMDB account is linked to a Facebook account which has since then been suspended permanently by Facebook. I want to know how to keep this account even without Facebook connected to it? Thank you very much for the help.

My IMDb profile was linked to my Facebook account. Today I tried to sign into my account and I realized that one's Facebook cannot be linked to their profile anymore. Therefore I tried to link it to my Google account. That did not work and now I'm stuck with a new account and I can't access my old one. My old account still exists because my reviews are still visible. Is there any way to get my old account back?

It seems that the avaiability of the FACEBOOK-login will end. I have several times tried to change to the IMDB-login like discribed but didn't succseed. Every time i was able to log in with the IMDB-login I haven't seen any previous data. So i have inmeadetly deletet the account, what was perhaps a bad idea too.
Actually I still have all my data in the Android-app. But perhaps this is only the cache. Is my data still on the server?
The account-name shown in the app is bruno-liechti and my email-adress (as used in FACEBOOK) was all the years bruno.liechti@gmail.com.
What can we do?

I don't have access to my old email and not sure of the password. I always used Facebook login but that's no longer an option. Obviously I can create a new account but it'd mean a lot to me to have my regular one being that there are so many reviews and ratings I have logged on there. I can answer questions or send an ID form if necessary. Any ideas?

I also lost my login due to the facebook issue. No response from IMDB since my original msg about 2 months ago. Good news is today on my one laptop I started IMDB in Chrome and it logged in using the old account, so I could export my list to CSV.
But now I find there's no import feature under my new account! Come on, IMDB! At least meet us halfway and add a Import list feature, same format as your export list feature! Really shouldn't be that hard.

The e-mail attached to my Facebook account here is outdated. I don't have access to this e-mail, anymore, it's even changed in my Facebook account. Yet when I enter the e-mail currently attached to my Facebook account, my IMDB account can't be found. If I enter the old e-mail it finds my account and sends a code but I don't have access that e-mail anymore. Will I lose my account?

how can I return the saved movies that I have saved in the watch list, because logging in via Facebook is no longer possible, and it is saved to an account registered via Facebook

Hi,
I was loging with facebook until you remove that option and when I tried to do the recovery process and enter the email associated to that facebook account you weren't able to find it, so I would like to know what to do in order to not lose mi account with you guys.

When I tried to login to my IMDB account I got a message that Facebook login is now disabled so I must reset my password. I tried to do that with my current email I use on Facebook but IMDB don't recognize that email and I don't have access to old email from 10 years ago. Can you please solve this problem? I've been using IMDB for many years and absolutely loved all of it. It's come to my attention now that none of my previous ratings or watchlists are showing on the site. I believe I always signed in with Facebook though it's been awhile since I had to. Is there a reason I'm not able to see all my previous ratings and why my account seems to of been either deleted or wiped???
