Removal of IMDb Account “Sign in with Facebook”
Effective October 06, 2022, you will no longer be able to use “Sign in with Facebook“ to access your IMDb account. You can maintain access to your account and any saved information by setting a password on your IMDb account using the reset password process. Once you have done this, you will be able to use the “Sign in with IMDb” option for any future logins.
If you previously used "Sign in with Facebook" to access your IMDb account, please take the following steps to retain access to your account:
- Go to the IMDb Reset Password Page.
- Input the email associated with your Facebook account and select "Continue". You will receive an email with a link to reset your IMDb password.
- Return to the IMDb sign in page and select "Sign in with IMDb" to log in to IMDb with your email and new password.
If you have previously followed these instructions or have already set a password for your IMDb account, please return to the sign in page and use the "Sign in with IMDb" login method.
If you do not reset your password, you will not be able to access your IMDb account and the associated data (e.g. contributions, lists, ratings, recommendations, etc.).

I have today a imdb account with facebook login on both my ipad and telephone. I have seen that imdb have removed the feature to use facebook as login and therefore i want to move my watchlist from my facebook imdb account to a new account i have just created.
Bur how can i export the watchlist and import it on the new account? I have seen that the export function exist if you use www.imdb.com and NOT the app.
The problem is now that since imdb have removed the login function on a computer to the www.imdb.com i cant reach my watchlist to export it.
Anyone know how i can do?

This evening I got the first alert that Facebook login is no longer available, apparently from 22 October already? But it's been working fine and logging in automatically all this time!
The recovery process doesn't work as the email address I had used was my old email address. So yeah, I have a new account, but my original account had 100's of movies and series in my watchlist that I have now lost! My 'new' account only has 4.
The old account was created in 2012, so 10 years old. The 'new' account was created in 2015, when I had some previous issue with the old account, but then I successfully recovered that.
If only I could export my watchlist to import into the new account - any way that is possible?

All your advice just LOG the problem - requires one to be logged into IMDB! So I need to create a dummy account to log a problem to solve my real account?

You no longer allow us to sign with Facebook without stating any reason or giving us a heads up. And now my 17 years old IMDB account which I use everyday is suddenly evaporated.
The problem here that I no longer have access to the email I signed up to Facebook with (Hotmail) because it was so long ago, and Facebook gives you the option to change the email address, but the problem is that when I signed up on IMDB in 2005, it was done with this Hotmail address which I no longer have access to, and since you stopped dealing with Facebook here, I'm now stuck and can't get my account back.
I sent to your customers service team many emails and they always reply with an automated message without giving any thought to actually assist me.
So, please assist me and all the people that face the same problem and give us a solution because this is not fair at all.

Hi there,
I recently found out that IMDB will no longer support log-in via Facebook. Since my account has been created from my Facebook account, not from an e-mail, i cannot access my account. The e-mail i am using in my Facebook account is linked with a different IMDB user. Currently, my IMDB is logged in my mobile, screenshots are attachted to this mail. I hope you can help me recover my account. Even if i can't log in to that spesific account, can you transfer my whislist, others lists and most importantly my ratings. It would solve the problem for me.

I no longer have access to the email I used to sign in with Facebook, for now I am logged in on imdb android app, but there is no way to get access through browser.
