Redesign suggestions

With the redesign of this site, I've noticed a couple of issues which I think should be fixed.

As indicated in the red oval, the headers are labeled as "Ques, Probl, Idea, Prais, Announ, Artic" instead of "Questions, Problems, Idea, Praise, Announcements, Articles". In fact, some of the last letters of these abbreviations are partially cut off, like the "a" in "Idea" and the "s" in "Prais".

Meanwhile, there is a large left margin to the left of the text. Why not make the column wider and reduce the left margin so that the words in the headers could be displayed in full?

Also, in the blue oval, the contributor who posted the topic is identified as "roy_k7aqttv48ox8z". But that's not their user name. As seen on the thread itself (https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdb-poll/poll-suggestion-midnight-movies-after-the-heyday/5f4eaeec4833935f0917fd58), their user name is Hoekkie and that's how I assume they want to be identified.

And here's a third issue that should be fixed. Here on this message board, URLs are not automatically linked. They should be automatically linked without us having to specifically activate them. This is a key issue for those of us who help users with data issues. If someone writes, "There's an error on my name page at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0525910/. Can you help me?" then I ought to be able to click right on that URL and go to the page, which would require that the URLs on this message board automatically be active.

True.

The preview feature is also gone.

Please bring that back too.

Thank you in advance, IMDb.

Also, as someone else pointed out on another thread, we shouldn't be allowed to upvote our own posts.

I don't know if non-Champions are seeing this too, but nobody (except maybe Col Needham) should be allowed to give their own post a "Mark as Accepted Answer" designation.

Ah, so I got an email that said this thread "has an accepted solution". But I don't see it now. Frankly, I don't see where to make such a designation, unless it's "close conversation".

Is there a help page for this site?

Bderoes: I think that was me, designating my own answer as an Accepted Answer, but I un-designated it afterwards.

Next to the replies here, there are three vertical dots on each reply. Hovering over those dots, for my own replies, I see "Edit", "Delete", "Permalink", and "Mark as Accepted Answer". For my own second-level replies (I forget how Sprinklr designates them), I see only the first three options.

For anyone else's first-level replies, I see "Permalink", "Mark as Accepted Answer", and "Flag as Inappropriate". For anyone else's second-level replies, I see "Permalink" and "Flag as Inappropriate".

This is also a flaw, because someone could provide the solution to a problem just as well in a second-level reply here as in a first-level reply. Both kinds should be markable as Accepted Answers -- but only by the IMDb staff, not by contributors.

thanks, gromit.

I did hover over the 3 dots before, and tried again now. All levels appear the same to me, and do NOT list all the options you list. Here's what I see:

For my own posts:

That's true in Chrome, Edge and Firefox; I have no scripts/extensions running in Edge.

That Leaderboard could use a sort option of "most recent" activity.

Hopefully they're adding "staff" designation, just as they added Champion.

The end of this post by ljdoncel, Champion

states: P.S. The new interface is absolutely horrible when you're dealing with images or videos... preview too small!!!

which echoes a couple of prior posts here.

I just tried to use the Permalink item in the 3-dot menu by a response, and it seems to load the link into the URL box of the browser? But not to the clipboard so that I'm ready to paste?
