How do I turn off the public rating so that I can rate my movies without the bias of seeing what the public has rated it before I vote?

I just want to make unbiased ratings.

Currently, there is no way to avoid seeing a title's rating by IMDb users when rating a film. The best you can do to avoid bias is to write down what you will rate the film prior visiting the IMDb page.

There should be a setting for registered users to hide the user rating on title pages. I know that me and many others become biased when seeing the user rating on a title before watching it.

Is there a way to turn off IMDb score? I want to watch movies and TV series without being influenced by them.

I often wish that I did not have to see the Aggregate Ratings on a film's page before I have watched it and rated it myself. It would be nice if there were the option in Account Settings to Hide User Ratings Except On Mouse Over. That way the User Ratings would be obfuscated on a page unless the user were to move the mouse cursor over the part of the page where the "div.IMDbRating" element is located, in which case the ratings could be revealed on user choice. If the user rated a movie themselves, then the Aggregate rating would always be visible.

A lot of people, like me, don’t like seeing how many stars a movie got on IMDB before watching it, because it sets up expectations. While people mostly use IMDB to see how popular a movie is by looking at how many stars it has gotten, it is also a great tool to see upcoming films and the cast etc. It would be wonderful if you could switch something in the settings, and then the rating is hidden until you press it or something.

A suggestion:
Isn’t it better to hide the ranking of the movies at the first glance; since when people see the general rating, it may influence their decision. They can see after they vote for the ranking, more fair and objective? How to manage ranking visibility in general is a question mark 😎
Have your saying please.
Thank you.

Not everyone votes.

For every user that has an IMDb account, there are probably 100 who don't.

Also WE USE THE RATING TO DECIDE WHETHER TO WATCH THE FILM/SHOW.

It is one of the top 5 most important features of IMDb.

Nowhere else can you get a rating based on the opinions of a large & diverse sample of regular moviegoers.
