Baffled that my contribution - giving the episode a very positive review, and criticising the homophobic contributions - was ‘declined’ because it ‘does not meet community guidelines’, while overtly homophobic contributions, using words like ‘disgusting’ and ‘disease’ in reference to gay people, have been accepted.

Please explain this to me.

Our voting system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database, including this title.

Review bombing
Dear imdb,
I've been a longtime follower and member, 
with a lot of great films coming into my life 
thanks to not only the (sometimes absurd) top 250
but what other users have to offer. 
However, it is clear that this site's star rating system
is being undermined by bots and review bombs.

Episode 3 of HBO's The Last of Us   is only the latest example....
