Introducing: “Alexa Powered Top Questions” for Titles
We are excited to announce the launch of “Alexa Top Questions” for titles on IMDb.
This is an extension of the “Alexa Top Questions for Names” feature, which was launched on a new celebrity FAQ page on June 29th (announcement here: https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/introducing-alexa-powered-top-questions/649da10f42417c2dcb61500a).
Please note that we are launching this experience gradually over the coming weeks, to a slowly increasing percentage of randomly-selected IMDb Users, so you might not see it yet. When included, you will see a new “Alexa top questions” section on title FAQ pages, below the pre-existing “FAQ” section, on the IMDb desktop and mobile sites. Amazon Alexa automatically generates answers to these frequently asked questions from other types of IMDb data. For example, The Matrix’s runtime is listed on its Technical specifications page. Alexa has used this fact to auto-generate an answer to the question “How long is The Matrix?”, on its FAQ page. You will also see a subset of these Alexa-generated FAQs within the pre-existing FAQ section on the main IMDb title pages.
Before today, both the FAQ section and FAQ page only contained user-contributed FAQ items. Now, the FAQ section contains a mix of both user-contributed and Alexa FAQs, and the FAQ page shows the new Alexa top questions section underneath the user-contributed FAQ section.
Unlike other types of information on IMDb, these Alexa-generated items cannot be edited directly by IMDb contributors. If you notice an issue with an Alexa-generated item, please submit a correction to the underlying source data. For example, if the answer to “How long is The Matrix?” was incorrect, then to fix it you would need to submit a correction to its runtime (e.g. by clicking “Edit” on the Technical specifications page). Please let us know on this thread if you notice any other issues.
Please also note that this is a pilot launch of the feature. It is therefore not yet included on all titles, including some highly popular ones. We plan to roll the feature out to more titles in future, if this pilot is successful.

Some answers for in-production/in-development titles seem to use inaccurate or outdated data.
