@Horst maybe we can take a different approach - do you recall the vibe of the film (e.g. was it realistic, campy, comedy, nerve wracking). What sort of special or practical effects might it have had? Any thoughts on the MPAA rating? Was the film stock 70's level bad, clear as crystal, was it shot at night, day, both. Interior or exterior sets? Any specific vehicles and do you recall any time specific references?

It was rather dark, although it may have had 2 or 3 campy moments from my recollection. Special effects not a lot, if anything it was about the makeup. It was set in America, a hostel may have been included, so there was a little bit of western route 66 vibe to it. With the rating I have no idea. Topless female nudity on at least one occasion and also some violence if if people weren't slaughtered on screen or anything. Both interior and exterior, and yeah the film was from the 2000s most likely, before 2010, but could very well be that it looked older and was set in the 1990s. As for vehicles, I only remember motorbikes. I went through this list https://www.imdb.com/list/ls000023634/ already, but don't think the film I am looking for is on it.
