Wrong IMDB Credits

Hi guys, I have an imdb credits on my page that is not me... they said its factual but how can I peove then wrong if ive never been part of the project? The project is Lethal Lookalike, "Dylan West". Hi Maya, it says Alexandre Lauzon on the on screen credits...? not Alex Lauzon? there is another guy name alexandre lauzon https://www.imdb.com/name/nm17853566/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk or i dont know but my name is Alex Lauzon, on this film it says Alexandre Lauzon! im pretty sure i wouldve known if i was in this film

I think imdb have a bug because they can't change the credit to the right actor. The gave me a credit in a film I am not in it and wrote "as Alexandre Lauzon". My name is Alex Lauzon! There is another account for Alexandre Lauzon but i think they can't change it to him! I don't know what the exact situation is here, but I can confirm that there is a credit for an Extra in Lethal Lookalike: The Viktoria Nasyrova Story (2024) (TV) at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32082667/ which is under the name Alexandre Lauzon (not Alex Lauzon).

Hi. I don't want to be 100% suspicious, but I'm just saying that I find it strange that this other Alexandre Lauzon's page (nm17876630) was only created in the last few hours (nm17894583 was the highest nmconst as of 19 Nov 2025).

Alex: That (as a different name) attribute is a feature which gets used way too often.

It was originally meant for transgender people to be able to hide their former names, but since IMDb did not want to limit who could choose to suppress other names they had worked under, far too many people use it to suppress minor variations of their name such as the addition or omission of a middle initial or use of a nickname.

So, for example, a person named Tim Martin Gleason chose to hide the name "Timothy M. Gleason" on one of his credits. (See here for information.) Never mind that it's the same name, just with a nickname vs. a full name and a middle name vs. a middle initial. I wish IMDb would discourage people from hiding variations like that, but so far I haven't been able to persuade the staff to do so.

Also what is weird is I havent done background work since 2021, and this credit is about "Extra" that is another thing, I did not know they were adding Extra Credits there.

How can I show that this is not factual? If I am not even in the film...?
