"Magazine Dreams" credit attribution update refused as "not eligible for submission"

Actor Tim Martin Gleason appears in the movie Magazine Dreams in the role as Mack. He is listed in the on-screen end credits as Timothy M. Gleason but it is impossible to submit an update to his credit attribution "(as Timothy M. Gleason)" because IMDB rejects it with the following message: This credit has been rejected. You need to correct this credit before it will be accepted. The as attribute "as Timothy M. Gleason" is not eligible for submission. I've never seen this rejection message before and it is inexplicable. An apparent workaround that another contributor submitted was to add the attribution "(as a different name)" which was accepted but obviously it's not literally accurate (he's not listed in the movie credits as "as a different name" but as "Timothy M. Gleason"). Below is an uploaded photo of the end credits that verifies Tim Martin Gleason is credited as Timothy M. Gleason in the end credits. Can the attribution be updated to reflect the actual end credit attribution. Thanks very much. urn:alx:doc:937a93d2-a8ca-450d-ba84-56832d6ccf2d:2b042190-cd5f-489c-99fb-99f92e26a6cd

It is the result of a policy change that members can hide alternate names as described here: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/manage-the-display-of-your-alternate-name-s/GHX5ZDWNL7D98C3Q It would be better if the rejection message could explain this.

It would be even better if actors were actively discouraged from suppressing minor variations of their names like this. I have posted an Idea thread at https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/a-better-explanation-when-suppressing-alternate-names/66cb59e59364bd32158c3f38 regarding this problem.
