Weird problem adding "assistant writer" credit
DuckTales has a credit for "assistant writer" which I believe is different from "writers' assistant" and belongs in the Writing section and not the Additional Crew section. But, an odd thing happens if you try and add it while also editing the Additional Crew Section. The credit disappears! I believe the credit is there, but not visible, in the Additional Crew section. If I had another valid credit, it would get submitted to the additional crew because she is in that section for other episodes that I added her to the writing section.
Also, why can't I add "assistant writer" credits to the Writers secont?

Hi, Adrian. Your reporting here of this problematic anomaly in the submission interface is much appreciated. Thank you. I'm experiencing the same problem when recreating the conditions as closely as I can, but afterward the item stays when added back, for me.

Hi Adrian -
I was unable to replicate the disappearing credit issue you experienced, has this occurred with any other credit submissions you tried to make recently?
Regarding the placement of "Assistant Writer" credits, these are currently categorized under "Additional Crew", which is why the Warning/Error displays.

Similar errors were reported before:
https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/problems-editing-other-crew/5f4a7a108815453dba96a9a1
where Will also says at the end, 'any "assistant" writer role should be listed in the "other crew" bucket, not in the writer section.'

I've found another "assistant" that appears to be wrongly moved to additional crew. The series, Devils, which is airing on the CW but is an Italian production lists an "assistant story editor". This does not appear to be an assistant job but a junior version of "story editor" and should be listed with other story editors in the wring section.
It also displays the same error with the disappearing credit if you try and add this to the writers section while simultaneously editing the additional crew.

Hey all - thanks for flagging this and for sharing your concerns with us.
After consideration and in line with our existing credits in the minor crew department, all assistant writer roles should be listed in the additional crew section.
Thanks for your understanding.
