Translation error – »[Award] shared with John Doe, Jack Stone« … german translation wrongly reads like »cleared to John Doe, Jack Stone«

I just noticed that the german translation of »shared with« in the context of Awards is awfully wrong. »To share« has been translated here with the same meaning of sharing a webpage, link, product recommendation, ect. »Freigegeben an:« reads more like as if a otherwise secret item has been cleared and released to the listed people. I guess you agree that this sounds wrong in this context.

Correct translation

Sharing e.g. food or an award with someone must be translated with »teilen«. So the correct translation, properly conjugated must be »Geteilt mit: [list of people]«.

@Ab_J_Sam Where does one report this in order to get a ticket number? And how does one find the team in charge? I’ve searched here and over at imdb.com, but just couldn’t find it.

@TheWoo Hi!

Reports to get ticket reference need to be done by staff so you can either report here or through our contact form.

Cheers!

A viable alternative – if not even better – german translation would be »Gemeinsam mit: [list of people]«, which would be the equivalent to »Together with: …«.
