Title and date confusion needs clarification

I'm a big Kent Mccord fan and so was interested in viewing this TV movie he did called "Heaven Only Knows" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079280/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 My first concern with this title is that it is listed as a TV movie, but on the cover photo it is listed as a "stage play"? The bigger problem that I have is that in an effort to view this film, I followed an external link from a critic review, that then led me to your affiliate Amazon to rent or buy this title. That is where things went south, so to speak. Amazon shows the same exact blue cover photo that says "Stage Play" that IMDB has. But instead of a 1979 date they have a date of 2016, and under starring it said unknown. Also, the title plot doesn't match. The 1979 IMDB film says, "An angel named Simon comes to Earth and finds that he enjoys, among other things, hot dogs, beer and meddling in the lives of people." The Amazon title plot says, "Heaven Only Knows is a story about forgiveness in the midst of tragedy. When Darice's twins, Zoey and Zander are involved in a shattering incident she is forced to deal with her past in ways she never imagined. Because real love takes forgiveness." https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B01DYFHOR4/ref=atv_dp_share_r_em_18d7895efe544 IMDB doesn't even have a listing for this title with a 2016 date. So, something is wrong either at Amazon or IMDB or both sites. especially a TV movie listed as a play. Can you look into this and figure out what is going on? Much appreciate any help here. Thank You.

Hi stevepaparatto-

We only list stage plays when they are released to the public filmed, reason why it is classified as a TV movie, the date it should have is the date of when the filmed version was released not the original stage play, so I fixed that too. And finally the plot is uploaded to us by our users reason why it was different, but I fixed it to make it match.

Cheers!

@Bethanny  Bethany, you misunderstood and made things worse unfortunately. The plot was correct the way it was.", "An angel named Simon comes to Earth and finds that he enjoys, among other things, hot dogs, beer and meddling in the lives of people." The 1979 date was also correct the way it was.  What is incorrect is The photo you have that says, "stage play".  That photo belongs to the link I gave you for the 2016 listing at amazon. The Amazon play is not from the movie. The 1979 movie is not based on a play it was made for ABC Disney and is a fantasy/Comedy. The play is a Drama. They are 2 different items all together. If you scroll down in your listing, it says it is also known as For heaven's Sake. You should put everything back the way it was. All that needs to be done is to once you put everything back, is to replace that cover photo with this one. The stars in 2016 play and the plot need their own listing as they are not the same.

@stevepaparatto Totally misunderstood you. I have created a separate listing for the one listed on Amazon Prime Video. Moved the picture to that one and put the correct picture date and plot on this one. What was it that linked the page with the amazon page? that should probably be moved too. Let me know! Thanks for clarifying and sorry for the mess.

Cheers!

@Bethanny Great job! It's all good now. I fixed the problem with the link to Amazon. At the top of the IMDB page for this listing you have two review links one for a user review. the other for a critic's review. The critic's review leads to an external site, and at the end of their review they said it was available for rent or purchase at Amazon and supplied the link to the incorrect 2016 stage play. I emailed them and explained the same issue, the same as I did with you. They have emailed me back, and they removed the link and reference to Amazon, and it just says now that you can find used VHS copies on Ebay. So, all is good.

Cheers!
