"Reference-to" keywords have gotten out of hand

Would the staff be willing to add the following rule to the keyword submission guide right away? "Reference-to-" keywords should only be used for names of persons, performing groups, fictional characters, and for IMDb itself. They should not be used for anything else. Forbidden uses include—but are not limited to—movies, TV series, books, plays, artwork, songs, magazines, newspapers, companies, brands, products, events, holidays, sports teams, geographical locations, religions, government bodies, and any non-proper noun whatsoever. YES: reference-to-marilyn-monroe YES: reference-to-the-beatles YES: reference-to-sherlock-holmes YES: reference-to-imdb NO: reference-to-the-shawshank-redemption NO: reference-to-pride-and-prejudice NO: reference-to-the-new-york-times NO: reference-to-netflix NO: reference-to-coca-cola NO: reference-to-paris-france NO: reference-to-the-boy-scouts NO: reference-to-a-dog Would the staff also be willing to edit this existing text? Repeating the title: For example adding shawshank-redemption as a keyword to the title "The Shawshank Redemption." If the movie "Shawshank Redemption" is mentioned or referred to during a title, you can use the keyword reference-to-shawshank-redemption. The second sentence should read: If the movie "Shawshank Redemption" is mentioned or referred to during a title, you can add a Movie Connection to "The Shawshank Redemption." @Gromit has been asking for this for some time.

If a contributor is going to add a keyword because Paris, for example, is mentioned in dialogue, it is better that it is reference-to-paris-france than just paris-france, which implies the film is set there.
