Pointless Spanish plot oulines

Hi, everyone:

I had just watched Smile 2 (2024) when I noticed that the plot outline for the film on its IMDb page says “Trama desconocida,” which literally means “Plot unknown” in Spanish. At first, I thought it might be a new feature intentionally added by the website as a placeholder for cases where a title does not have a plot outline in Spanish. However, when I access edit mode, I find that this useless text has indeed been uploaded as the Spanish plot outline (both ES-ES & ES).

A quick Google search reveals that there are other titles with similar plot outlines, such as “Trama en secreto" ("Plot in secret") or "La trama se mantiene en secreto" ("The plot is kept secret")...

There are probably more, but Google has its limitations (especially when it comes to localized elements), and ATS is not able to search for words within ES-ES plot outlines properly. Could a staff member please delete these pointless plot outlines and, if they are from the same contributor(s), instruct them to refrain from sending them? Thank you.

Cheers!

ljdoncel: There was a thread here a few years back about the excessive use of "Plot under wraps" as an English-language plot outline:

https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/deletion-of-a-plot-outline-that-just-says-plot-under-wraps-keeps-getting-rejected/630aa592892fc367e24795c3

I don't know how that issue was eventually resolved, or if it was resolved at all.

Thank you very much, gromit. I wasn't aware of that thread.
