Over 130 10-star Reviews of Fight Club in less than 48-hours.

Why does Fight Club suddenly have over 130 reviews between the 16th & 17th March 2024? They majority mention Grimace and/or Odysseus from fake accounts created less than 24-hours prior to posting. It looks like the last valid rating was on 7 March 2024.

This has caused Fight Club to drop to #14 on the Top 250 - for the first time ever. Prior to this it's always had 2.3 million reviews, over 2,000 10-star reviews and more.

It looks like fans of Dune: Part Two or Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers are doing this intentionally to Drop Fight Club to #14 or Fight Club fans are doing this in attempt to bring it back to #12. The reviews from 16th & 17th March should be deleted

It's really screwed up. It's annoying to see this. Do you know if IMDb responds to these posts & takes action?

Instantix: I see there are a bunch of strange new reviews of Fight Club which mention "Grimace" and "Odysseus". But since these are all 10/10 reviews, the best possible rating, how could they drag the film's rating down?

Idk but maybe too many reviews in a short period of time (depending on algorithms?) can do that.

Dune 2 had an overwhelming amount of 10-star shortly after opening weekend with around ~101k ratings, a total of only a few hundred reviews and it was nearly shy of taking Pulp Fiction's rank for some unknown reason.

At least 60% of those recent reviews trigger 100% AI written when scanned with an AI detector as well. Most of these accounts are new and all have hit up to 5 reviews on the same 5 films mentioning "Grimace" and "Odysseus" a lot. 'GRIMACE Odysseus' is some crypto coin thing.

Looks like AI conducted testing to me.
