New Parents Guide

We are pleased to announce the release of our new Parents Guide. As of today, we are improving the look-and-feel of the Parents Guide, bringing the experience up to date with other parts of IMDb.  We have also upgraded the contribution experience, utilizing our new in-line contribution form.  Over the next few weeks, we will enable contribution for all registered users, across both our full and mobile optimized websites, removing past contribution limitations.   With this change, some features which were specific to the old Parents Guides (locking, watching etc) are no longer supported. This decision was made only after careful consideration and was based on data quality, coverage, and usability.

IMDb is passionately committed to providing innovative ways for our users to engage with our content and we appreciate your continued support of IMDb.

Thanks
Nic

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Hate the Changes to Parental Guide.

Why fix something that is not broken. I don't care what someone else believes is or isn't offensive - I want to be able to quickly see the specific content and decide for myself is the film is appropriate for my family. It almost seems like IMDB is trying to keep information from viewers that might discourage them from seeing a film based on their values. That would be very bad.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can you edit the parents guide for a TV show?.

I noticed the parents guide for Orphan Black on the main Orphan Black (2013) page doesn't go beyond season one. It makes it sound a lot more graphic than it actually is. I'd like to add things from the later seasons to the parents guide. Does IMDB have an email I can contact them at about this?

Do you have an account with IMDb, Dick? Just sign right on in and follow the instructions present on the IMDb series-level content advisory for Orphan Black (2013). Adding stuff shouldn't be a challenge. It's the one-item-at-a-time editing scheme that is a contrived nuisance to contributors, I'm sorry to point out. In addition, there doesn't seem to be a way to alter the order of the items. At any rate, good luck.

So, just as I was asking, I see there'd been an update to the Parents Guide, of which ask for more preciseness by not simply typing the info in: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/has-the-parental-guide-of-imdb-gone-recently?utm_source=noti...
