Keyword processing error

All of a sudden, the “not one of the existing keywords we have in this section” warning is appearing for keywords that have many existing titles.

Example:

251220-192145-253000Track Contribution 2025-12-20 19:21:45 The von Trapp Family: A Life of Music (2015)Keywords -  4 items added, 65 items corrected, 2 items delete

"chauffeur,” “death-of-mother,” “fired-from-a-job,” “”singing,” “teenage-girl,” “united-states-of-ameica,” and others.  The are NOT new keywords.  They get processed correctly, but why is this incorrect warning appearing?

Also, some contributions for titles with keyword additions, corrections or deletions are just “skipped over,” while previous and following titles with keyword addition, corrections and correction ARE processed.  When resubmitted, they are THEN processed correctly.

@bradley_kent Sorry about the problem; if this has just started happening today, it is likely related to the IMDb systems outage reported at https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/display-errors-on-title-and-name-pages/6946ce396396e03dbb5ef200 and the team is working on a solution at the moment.

Thanks for the response, Col.  Now, it would be a great help if you could just get staff members to correctly  process genre and subgenre contributions.

I have over 750 genre submissions that have been rejected, with the only response is that “they do not meet our IMDb’s genre guidelines.” This is very subjective, and suggest that the genre definitions need to be redefined.  Genre designations should reflect the creators, the industry, and response by critics and other reputable sources. To cite just two examples, One Battle After Another and Marty Supreme have been denied the Comedy genre, even while they are acknowledged as comedies by critics' awards and the Golden Globes.  (I have seen both, and  they ARE funny!)
