Oh I thought it was just me. I'd just finished compiling a report of all mine that I noticed was missing when I saw your post. For me I think it only relates to images I've added in the past 7 or 8 days.
@Karen I can reupload all expecting one as it looks like, only one which I deleted after uploading yesterday and is not longer available now, cause the episode of the series got deleted from the Mediathek yesterday
@Bethanny now they are again there and partly double, the ARTE Journal vom 19.04.2024 has a Photot now too again, but earlier today all photos uploaded since the night from thursday to friday midnight had been vanished
Here are a couple of submission references from this morning as an example #241022-063448-897702, #241022-063500-219202 & #241022-064044-860502. All the images that I uploaded were approved & were live on the page when I logged out.
Thanks
Don

originally titled Images gone
Can confirm this happened to images I uploaded this week as well, and they included a poster, so it's not just screenshots. (ex. #241021-203504-005302)
The same thing has happened to me. I spent quite a long time cropping and improving the colour on title pages for TV programmes, was pleased when they got accepted, but now many of them have disappeared again.
It's not just that all photos since Thursday keep disappearing, but that deletions and changes are being undone as well. They get approved, go live, and then a few hours later the update is discarded as if it never existed. This isn't a freak occurrence, but an on-going issue.
@BERSERK the problem is at moment that I cant do much, mostly I started to check all movies of the "Lexikon des internationalen Films 2020/2021" and normally I upload missing german posters when they are missing directly. But as long as its not solved it doesnt make sense
@BERSERK me too, the checking of the Lexicon has the sense to add missing informations like release dates and most important missing movies, here is an bigger lack of german TV Documentaries, the Lexicon lists all movies released in Germany in Cinema, on TV and streaming in the year 2020, I did same with the Lexicons of 2021, 2022 and 2023 already
The majority of mine are still missing. I can't provide submission numbers for all of them - there are too many and the submission history cracks it if you keep trying to scroll back days and days.
Here are some submission numbers:
241020-005916-181702241020-010010-814802241020-010113-033602241020-010219-866602241020-010315-341102241020-010422-546402241019-234843-651102241019-232945-278402241020-032455-522702 (also about 40 other images from same episode)241017-045113-728802 (also between 50-80 other images from same episode)241020-075131-642502 (also between 50-80 other images from same episode)2241019-074814-633002 (also between 50-80 other images from same episode)241020-072331-849302 (also between 50-70 other images from same episode)#241021-051006-708302 (also between 50-70 other images from same episode)241018-191933-101002 (also between 40-50 other images from same episode)241021-072121-122002 (also between 40-50 other images from same episode)241020-035400-169102 (also between 40-50 other images from same episode)241020-052048-985402 (also between 40-50 other images from same episode)241018-225710-324702 (also between 70-80 other images from same episode)
Yes actually i have the same problem, all posters and images i added last week all gone for no reason What is happening? Now many titles are posterless And i added so many, and now i must readd it again? Oh cmon And it still happening i added some last night, now they are gone
@ugnieska Please see above; we are investigating the issue and there is no need to resubmit any missing images; this will only cause duplications which will then need to be deleted once the problem is resolved.
I just noticed that most of the pictures I have been submitting recently have been approved but are not appearing on their respective pages. Here are some, but probably not all, of them.
(Whatever glitch that was causing this seems to have been fixed. The most recent images I've submitted are appearing on their pages as they should.)
This also happened with me, only there is a different wrinkle added in. Still shots that I added have disappeared, but also, duplicate images that were deleted have returned, and images that were made the primary image have reverted. Even images that I got the Help Desk to fix have been undone.
It is as if the system tried to reset the Photo Gallery/Images to how they were 3-4 days ago.
Still doing it. Added stills to an episode as a test. The images were approved and the primary image was approved. Now primary reverted and the images are gone.
This is going to wreak havoc with the eventual duplicate images, which are a pain to get rid of.
A quick udate from the team. We have indentified the root cause of the problem and we are working on a fix. The new photos and any changes have NOT been lost -- it is a publication issue only affecting photos.
Everything will be restored once the solution is deployed. You are okay to upload additional photos in the meantime, however, please do not upload duplicates which have already been approved (and are currently invisble) as this will create duplicates when the missing photos are republished.
The pictures disappeared yesterday and then came back in the morning and now before entering the photo album it gives me the real number 233 but after entering it does not find the recently added pictures all deleted it gives me only 198 pictures which is the number of pictures that were there about three days ago what is happening with the site.
And as I write this post, the pictures have disappeared.
@Ozzy Also, it would appear that several images that I submitted (and that were approved) were removed for no reason. This is one such example: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt34104983/
This was the image that got removed:
How was that image (or any of the other images that got removed) unacceptable? There is zero NSFW content in it.
Some of the images/photos that were affected by the glitch/bug can flagged/edited; however, a on number of them when trying to Edit Tags or Report Image an "contribute.imdb.com refused to connect" error message displays. Which also means that you can't remove affected duplicate images.
I have a new title here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt34001098/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 and the poster gets removed everyday. I uploaded a new one yesterday and then I had a duplicate. Back to no poster image now. Curious what the issue might be.
The image publication has completed as many of you have observed above. Everything should be fine now. Please let us know if there are any remaining issues. Unfortunately it is not easy for us to determine which images are duplicates so please submit deletes if you notice any duplications.
Thank you for your patience and once again sorry for the inconvenience.
Yes, all the images have returned, but I have a note that some series and movies, when the images returned, do not accept the poster update.
It used to take only minutes to change the poster, but now it doesn't take long.
For example, when the pictures returned, this series remained updated on the poster for the fourth season, and it did not accept updating for the fifth season.
@BERSERK This particular title has now been fixed; the poster selection is dependent on upload order and the issues over the last few days will have impacted this order and therefore the selection, sorry.
@Col_Needham I hope this is just a temporary repeat glitch - Finished uploading S36 Cops all but the last was showing on season list, then many disappeared. Brought up each no-image episode and there were no images. I didn't re-upload this time. Fingers crossed in hope it is an isolated issue.
I went to contribution history but no? image records there (guess they don't show up on the history list). I had already deleted emails as the links show added. adding them back again. I populated all season 36 episodes yesterday and today. adding them in a few minutes.

Hi,
Over the last few years I have been adding screenshots to many old UK TV programs on IMDb. This afternoon I noticed that the images I uploaded this morning, for Doctor in Charge: The Devil You Know , whilst on the page immediatley after uploading had gone. Following further investigation I see that images that I uploaded last week for both Out of Town: Southall Market and Wild Duck Shooting & Keeping Up Appearances: The Hostess have also gone.
Are screenshots no longer accepted on IMDb pages?
Here are a couple of submission references from this morning as an example #241022-063448-897702, #241022-063500-219202 & #241022-064044-860502. All the images that I uploaded were approved & were live on the page when I logged out.
Thanks

I report to the staff that now the photos I had uploaded are visible again, but if I try to add them to a list, I receive an error message.

ok both worked after submission (again?). Checked all s36 episodes no duplicate nor wrong images uploaded to incorrect episode.
Do image additions count toward contributions since they don't show on the contribution history?
