hundreds of wrong credits added to an imdb page

Hi,

Doc Kane has had several hundred credits added to his imdb page on stuff he's never even heard of. We are not sure who is adding them.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0437301

Is there any way to find out who added and why? I tried removing, but that was a week ago and nothing has changed. Also, is there a way to remove an entire title instead of having to checkmark hundreds of boxes?

These are the suspect credits:

The Simpsons
160 Episodes (uncredited)
Amphibia
49 Episodes
The Owl House
43 Episodes
Star vs. Forces of Evil (2015-2019)
77 Episodes
Gravity Falls
40 Episodes
Turbo Fast
52 Episodes
Danger Rangers (2003-2008)
21 Episodes
These appeared in the passed week and know one knows where or why they showed up.
Thank you very much for you help,
Brett

Hi brett_voss -

Thanks for reporting the incorrect credits that were recently added, I have now removed them and the changes should be live on the site shortly.  I have also taken additional steps to help prevent further incorrect credits from being added.

Cheers!

@Michelle Thank you very much!

I typically add credits for Doc after we finish a show, assuming we have been credited on screen.

Will I need to do anything different in the future to submit credits for him?

Thank you again, and please be well,

Brett

Hi @brett_voss -

No, you won't need to do anything different, just continue submitting credits as you have been!

@mbmb  Oh wow. Yeah. Many similarities, especially the 160 episodes of the Simpsons. So strange that someone would do something like that.

I wonder if it's a database issue or someone actually changing it? If it's someone actually changing it, couldn't IMDB see who is submitting and stop it?
