How to have credits corrected when production clearly states they made an error

Hi there.  I’m a little frustrated with this whole situation and do not know where else to turn.  My daughter Jordyn Gillis, was cast in Essex County as “Anne at 10”.  Her scene showed up in the episode and was not cut.  The production made an error and incorrectly credited another actress who’s scene was cut and did not air.   They reached out to IMDb to have it corrected however they have declined it.   I don’t understand how this can be when the production company of the series is the one telling IMDb that what they have listed is incorrect.    Is there someone that can help?   I can forward the contribution number production sent if need be.   Thank you.

It's already correctly recorded on the title page with uncredited attribute because it's not credited on screen.

If someone who did not work was credited, (credit only) attribute could be added, if they filmed the scene and credited but that scene was not included, (scenes deleted) attribute could be added, however I don't see another "Young Anne" credited here so I don't understand which actress you're talking about "who’s scene was cut and did not air".

Either way, uncredited attribute on "Young Anne" credit should stay.

@mbmb Hi!

Thank you for helping.  What happened is they credit a role “Anne at 20’s” to an actress and her scene was cut.  The credit should have shown “Anne at 10” which was Jordyn’s and not cut.  Please look at contribution number 230412-151547-865000 which was submitted from an employee of Essex County’s production company to have this rectified.   Let me know if you have further questions and I thank you for your help!

@CynthiaGillis Hi, I can't see the content of that submission, only staff can see it, I'm just a user (staff would have Employee label under their usernames). What that submission is trying to change exactly? If it's trying to remove uncredited attribute, that would not be done because she's not credited on screen.

I don't see a "Anne at 20’s" credit here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt23146368/

Which credit there was cut?

@mbmb I see her name is now gone!  Here was the submission from the production.   Her name is now gone but Jordyn’s credit is not amended as per their request.

@CynthiaGillis I see now, it looks like that was removed because of that bad submission which shouldn't have been approved (I added it back now). I don't know how it even passed submission form when Jordyn Gillis already had an uncredited cast entry. It should have thrown a red error and say she's already part of the cast.

I can see @Bethanny and @VonPunk already said what needs to be said on this thread previously: https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/made-final-cut-for-episode-of-essex-county-but-not-in-end-credits-or-on-imdb/64347cc1cab3782a6e0ccc8e

IMDb editors should stop approving incorrect modifications and deletions on a "verified as complete" cast list.

If Shanice Roebuck filmed the scene but it was not included, (scenes deleted) attribute can be added to that credit, if she did not film it at all then (credit only) attribute can be added, but the credit should not be removed from IMDb. And the uncredited attribute from Jordyn Gillis should not be removed because she's not credited onscreen, that's what determines it, not the requests of production company or someone else.

@mbmb I didn’t request that submission, it was from the production company.  Was just hoping to get Jordyn what she should have been given; which was a credit.  If there’s absolutely nothing that can be done other that “uncredited”, so be it.   She had a great time on set and a wonderful experience.
Thank you for your help and have a fabulous rest of your day! 😊

@CynthiaGillis You're welcome, I can see she already has one fully credited role so it doesn't affect her page anyway (her credits are not hidden) so I would say leave it as is. Because eventually someone would see she's not credited onscreen and add that attribute anyway.

Can you clarify Shanice Roebuck's credit? She filmed the scene but she's not seen in the episode at all, am I correct? Or she did not film the scene at all? I will add the attribute accordingly based on your clarification.

I have no idea. She wasn’t on set with Jordyn the same day we were and I know she wasn’t in that episode.   If production was sending the request stating she should be removed and her scene was cut from the episode, I’m assuming she wasn’t but I have no clue regarding that.

@CynthiaGillis OK thanks, I just added credit only attribute to her credit. That would indicate she's credited but did not appear in the episode. And that would be all that can be done, production company should not try to remove it again.

Have a nice day.
