How to Credit - Our robots are in multiple shows but we're unsure how to credit this.

Our company builds a variety of robots and remote control platforms, including tactical support units. Over the years we've built robots/platforms used in commercials, had some of our EOD robots appear on TV shows, and had some of our smaller units appear as simple props. We're currently wanting to add credits where our robots were used, but we're not sure what to credit them as. We have paperwork to back up our agreements with procurement as well as video/photos from the episodes and on set to prove our involvement.

Does anyone have advice on how to properly credit our involvement?

I was wondering why it said you had posted a comment but it wasn't showing up. And yes the link in your comment is the one for our website.

@ACT_1

Thanks for the resource links. I've already spent some time going through those and feel like we ended up in a weird gray area. Production/Procurement would reach out about using our robots for a show. If the robot was an advanced one like our EOD/tactical support units it would usually get flown out with an operator who would control the unit for the shoot. Screen credit wise I'm working on finding/watching episodes of shows our robots have appeared in to confirm if we're listed in their credits but haven't found any direct reference to us so far.

Part of the problem is that I haven't been able to track down any existing content that credits us on IMDb. I've got a list of TV show episodes we've appeared in, along with images showing them in the aired episodes.

We also have documentation of the work done for different shows/commercials. That would fulfill the part of the FAQ covering 'proof of uncredited roles' but it again gets back to figuring out what to credit our involvement as.

I appreciate the response and if you've got any ideas or suggestions please let me know. As for IMDbPro we were looking at that but I didn't want to make the jump unless we worked out this initial problem of getting credited.

@SuperDroidRobots I would think, if you are a company, listing yourself in the company section under miscellaneous companies, first time you do it will create a company page, if you need any advice on that, check here: Company Name Formatting , add a role in lower case letters like 'robot supplier' or whatever sounds best and if you have no onscreen credit add 'uncredited' in the attribute box, or leave blank if you do have an onscreen credit.

Might want to wait a day or two to see if staff or other users offer better/alternate advice before doing that.

Hi @SuperDroidRobots -

The suggestion made by @VonPunk is the best option here for crediting your company.  I encourage you to try submitting the company credits this way, including evidence and our editors will take a look.

Let us know if you encounter any issues!

@Michelle and @VonPunk I really appreciate the advice on crediting our company here. We'll start working on getting credits added to our various appearances and involvement based on the feedback you all have provided. Thank you!
