Gilligan's Island (1964 to... 1992?)
Do we really want GILLIGAN'S ISLAND listed as a series that ran from 1964 to 1992 just because the pilot episode wasn't released until 1992? Otherwise, the show would be 1964 to 1967.

Hi jay_spirit -
This is a bit of a gray policy issue where we are lacking consistency and documentation regarding Title Years.
I will address the policy issue with our editorial team, once a consensus has been made on this particular scenario (on whether the title end-year should reflect the known series end-year or whether we should account any future episode airing dates with the display).
Once I have an update I will post the information here.
Cheers!

I don't know. Do we really want any series that had no new episodes produced to be listed as running beyond the year in which its most recently-produced episode was released? Let us not fail to consider the abstract principle at hand.

We don't have that for
Star Trek: The Original Series (1966–1969)
Episode: The Cage (1986)

In my humble opinion, Gilligan's Island should definitely be listed as 1964-1967. Period. Because that's the time-frame the show actually aired. Saying it ran from 1964-1992 is ludicrous!
