Celebrity date of birth (DOB) issues

Hello community - I am a faithful IMDb fan and I use the site almost every day (cuz I’m a movie addict).  WHY did they start leaving the year off of celebrities DOB’s?  I go to IMDb for MANY different reasons and now if I want to find EXACTLY when someone was born, I have to go to Wikipedia which still has the full DOB’sb.  I would like to know why this change was made.  All celebrity info can still be found in other places and I think the site should go back to full DOB’s.  I personally would like to only have to go to to IMDb for all my celebrity and entertainment information.
