Can Additions & Deletions Be Traced to the Account That Initiated Them?

Someone added bogus "plots" to the upcoming episodes of one of my series. The plots had nothing to do with those episodes, and were an obvious attempt at trying to be funny. Of course, I deleted them, but I want to know if those additions can be traced to the account they originated from? If there's a way to take action through IMDb, then I'd like to pursue it.

The staff is forbidden from giving us the name of the contributor, but they can still trace where the fake plots came from and give this person extra scrutiny or ban him outright if they choose.

You may want to give them the 18-digit tracking numbers of your submissions requesting the deletions, so they know exactly which plots you're talking about.

You'll find the numbers in your contribution history.

Great idea. Where should I send those numbers?

Just put them in the thread here. The staff will probably get to your post in one to three days.

Here are the reference numbers for the deletions I made. Hopefully IMDb Staff can track down whoever created the bogus plots.

Hi @SYoung1960,

Thank you for the submission references. We have identified the responsible contributor and have taken the appropriate action to prevent future illegitimate plot outlines being approved for listing.

Cheers!

Thank you for your help @Ozzy . I will also diligently watch my listings more closely for any changes that are not initiated by myself or members of my team.
