Film-wise, I like psychological thrillers, action thrillers, and occasionally, some moderate horror. I don't usually like action films for the sake of it unless it has a good plot and good actors. Likewise, I don't like romance films for the sake of it, but I occasionally do like rom-coms that have great comedy, some depth to the story and good actors. I like some comedies, but my sense of humour is quite dry, so the comedies I like are quite rare. I tend to avoid sci-fi, but have been known to like some moderate sci-fi where it doesn't overpower the story or acting. I mainly use IMDb for film recommendations and the watchlist tool. I used to leave regular reviews on the old platform I used to use before I joined IMDb and that platform used to have a follow option. Unlike this community site, it doesn't look like the main IMDb site has plans to introduce a follow option yet.
