In Progress

Why are "exact match" keyword results displayed so far down the list of results?

I have posted about this before, and I will likely post again until the problem is fixed.

Why does IMDb choose not to display "exact match" keyword results as the first result on the list?

I can't imagine why IMDb would want to display the exact result that people are searching for so far down the list of results.

Here is a search where the exact match is not listed until result #7:

https://www.imdb.com/find/?s=kw&q=%22waking%20up%20covered%20in%20blood%22

Search "waking up covered in blood"

Hello @keyword_expert,

we have reached out to the appropriate team to confirm the behavior of the current display logic for keyword search results and we will relay the relevant information on the thread.

Here is another example. For this one, the exact match doesn't appear on the list until result #9. The exact match should always be listed first.

Search "man chases a woman"

@keyword_expert  Thanks again for the problem report.  We now have a ticket for this enhancement in the queue for the search team.  It will not be quick as there are some larger search priorities to handle first, but the team will get to it eventually.
