Watchlist: Refine by Netflix streaming availability!

Why can't my Watchlist be refined by titles available on Netflix? This has to be the most popular streaming content source! My Watchlist says that I have hundreds of titles available to stream, but almost all of them are available only as paid rentals. I'd like to know what's available in the service for which I've already paid!

Excited to announce that we've added Netflix to our Watchbar and Watch Options in the US, India, Mexico, and Germany, joining over 50 providers available in the US and dozens more in the rest of the world. Check it out now on IMDb or on our mobile apps!

Hey jimthing - as of today (March 1, 2021), we have launched Netflix on the IMDb Watchbar and Watch Options in the US, India, Mexico, and Germany (sorry for the typo earlier which omitted Germany).  We look forward to enhancing the IMDb customer experience by adding new features and new countries over time.

I can't believe that 3 years after this was shared, 9 years after the original request, it's still not available in most countries in Europe (among them UK, where I live).

I understand Amazon wants to promote Prime, but miss the days when IMDB was an independent and neutral entity.

I'm afraid that IMDB is a member of the Amazon family of companies, so the instant viewing options will tend to favour sister sites (like Amazon Instants or LoveFilm) or open sites of good standing (the Internet Archive for public domain films - YouTube has a lot of films free to watch, some legitimately uploaded but a lot are illegal, so it'd be unwise to promote such a link), rather than promoting rival services. It is the same way your buying options for home media are the local Amazon site (if one exists) and not any other company selling DVDs or Blu-rays.

The best place to find out what is available on Netflix through IMDB is to check out the various Netflix lists users maintain and you can filter your Watchlist using one of those (you could bookmark that search result for future reference). At least this side of a anti-competition/monopoly legal ruling.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Driving Traffic with Netflix tag or section.

Has anyone thought of adding a Netflix logo to the pages of films/TV shows currently on Netflix? Would be a great way to drive traffic to the website to explore what is on Netflix.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled IMDb and Netflix suggestion.

I think IMDb and its users would greatly benefit from a simple addition of Netflix to its connected counterparts. I would specifically like:

1. An option on my IMDb watchlist that allows me to view only the items currently on Netflix.

2. If Netflix and IMDb connected Netflix could have all of my IMDb watchlist items already in a Netflix section titled "Your IMDb Watchlist" or something to that effect.

3. Finally, I would really like it if adding an item to my Netflix list would automatically add it to my IMDb watchlist as well. This would of course be an option that can be enabled or disabled because I'm sure some people wouldn't like this.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled IMDB Netflix Movie Ranking.

There should be a section in IMDB that shows a ranking of movies that are currently on Netflix. It can be ranked by the score that IMDB gives. It will really help people choose from the huge libraries of movies on Netflix, most of which people have never heard of.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Netflix integration.

I had this moment of enlightenment today, where iMDB could integrate a Netflix-available feat. This would just tell the visitor if the movie they want to know about, is available on Netflix.

I know linking the iMDB page to the Netflix one is on another level, but this small feat would surely enhance the experience of present, and future iMDB visitors.

Is there a way to show links on the movie/TV show pages to their Netflix page and not just Amazon and Hulu?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Filter watchlist on availability on streaming services.

Hi IMDb. Great IOS App , thx. Idea: I would like to be able to filter my watchlist on whats currently available on different streaming services. The way you search in fx netflix is horrible, and it would really help to know (or even get notified) when one of your watchlist movies are made available on Netflix, HBO etc.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Watchlist - Movies showing on premium movie channels.

I assume that many movie buffs (including me) subscribe to one or more premium movie channels (HBO, Encore, etc.) It would be great if the watchlist would show upcoming airings of movies on premium channels.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add YouTube to Instant Watch options.

IMDb has a helpful but underutilized feature showing you what titles in your Watchlist are available to watch online - Hulu, Amazon, Crackle, WB, etc. Why not expand this to YouTube (as long as the videos are legal uploads), perhaps even Netflix (although I understand it's a paid service IMDb doesn't have a partnership with, so it might be out of the question).

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Which Sites Stream Which Films...(adding a field to IMDB Film pages).

Can IMDB add a tab or section under the title page of appropriate/affiliated films, that lists which streaming platforms make each film available?

i.e. if "Inception" is available on Netflix or Amazon, etc, etc. we can deduce where and how to watch it...

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Cross-Link Between IMDB and Libraries (incl. Netflix & Amazon).

I'd like to be able to see which films on my IMDB watchlist are available at a local library, on Netflix, or on Amazon. Eventually this would help me decide when and why to visit the library, sign up for Netflix, or place an order on Amazon.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled IMDB should work together. Lots of benefits for both partners..

Since it's getting more and more common to stream movies from service providers like netflix, Hulu, vudu, iTunes and others, I think it's time for IMDB to make deals with those companies to implement a database that keeps track of where the movie can be seen. I suggest that IMDB include a little logo badge from the streaming service ex.Netflix, and when touching the badge you is informed about which country it's awailable in. If the the database is well implemented there is minimal work to be done to keep track of what's in and what's out of the streamingservice. Since IMDB, in no dobt, is the best and most used movie database on the Internet, I think it's time to take some steps further into the year 2015 and implement this feature..(and more ;-)) Thanks to IMDB for all the works so far, and especially the good looking app that works like a charm and also is very intuitive to use.
Kind regards Lasse
