Watchlist notification options?

Hello - Is there a means by which the Watchlist function in IMDB can send a notification when a new movie is released?

Many times, I have added to my Watchlist a movie that is "in production" and is "scheduled to be released in the Fall" or something along those lines.  If Watchlist could send an alert, email, or text that a movie on one's Watchlist has been released, that would be very helpful.
