Using 'seen' films to qualify for badges

Hi, my understanding of the top 250 badges is that you have to rate all the films on the list to get the badge for a particular year. However, for those of us who only rate the films we like, and mark as 'seen' all the other films we watch, qualifying for such badges is unfortunately not currently possible. So my suggestion would be to make having 'seen' a film be as valid as a rating when it comes to badges. Certainly the ongoing/current top 250 list counts 'seen' as worth something, though there's no badge to go with that (only the yearly lists).

This is of course aside from having to add 'seen' in the URL to get to the appropriate page to mark movies as such, rather than there being a 'seen' button next to the normal ratings on each movie's page. Which again is a divergence from the ongoing/current top 250 list where it's straightforward to mark movies as seen.

I'm sure this latter point has been raised multiple times over the years, but it's the first point regarding extending the badge qualification process that I'm currently advocating for. Thanks.
