Top 250
why do only a few Indian films appear in the top 250? Wouldn't they all be removed since there is a dedicated top 250 for Indian films?

@Mco22 We are not sure what you mean by your question, sorry. All movies are eligible for the Top 250 regardless of their country of origin. If we were to remove the Indian movies then via the same logic, should we also remove all of the English language movies since we have an additional Top 250 for English language movies at https://www.imdb.com/chart/top-english-movies ? For other questions on IMDb's ratings, please see the Ratings FAQ. Hope this helps.

I mean there are no films further up the Indian top 250 charts, but there seem to be random films without a voting order. For example, if you take the Indian top 250 you will only find positions 8, 16, 29 etc in the overall top 250 ..What does it mean? Why then are there no top positions?

if there is a different system for calculating the ranking then this should also apply to the Indian top 250.I don't think it makes sense that the first position of the top 250 is not in the overall top 250, while I find the one that is at number 29...
