Top 250 for video games?

Just an idea I had a few days ago.  The video games section of IMDb is  fairly underused, just like the TV section used to be before the creation of their top 250. Why not doing the same with games? Many IMDb user are even aware that the site allowed them to rate video games (I only found out recently even though I use it since 2012) and I only started to rate TV shows when the top 250  was created.

Perhaps 250 titles is too much as there are are about 700 video games with 1k votes, So, why not one with 50 titles, like the top Telugu, Malayan and Tamil movies?

In any way, I think it's very important if we want to expand the section to create one.

Movies, TV Shows, Awards & Events, Celebs are all perfectly categorized. There are top rated and trending lists and all. Since IMDb also has video game database I wish there was a separate section for video games too.

This and separate statistics for games.

At this point IMDB is plain better than metacritic and if they listen to users IMDB will became also #1 game database.

However, this will require even harder weight system of user ratings which is less focused on hype and tolerance and more on intelligence and art.

Video Games titles are present. Can we have top 250 Games List? I have started rating games here and have to look for other sites for more popular games.

@bderoes Using advance search will not show which are currently the popular ones and also some titles have very less ratings, so have to put ratings count too but not sure what to put.

Not sure how many wants to do this. That's why was thinking it would be good to have something premade.

Not show which are popular?

Every Advanced search is sortable like this:

Sort by: Popularity A-Z | User Rating▼ | Number of Votes | US Box Office | Runtime | Year | Release Date | Date of Your Rating | Your Rating

Thank you for the reply. Yes, there is a popular option but it does not work for titles not released yet. So we will never come to know which are right now popular/anticipated. For example, refer to two links,

This is the most popular movie https://www.imdb.com/chart/moviemeter/?ref_=nv_mv_mpm

And this is using Advanced Search https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&user_rating=2.0,&view=simple

Here you will see the difference in titles which do not yet have ratings(At the time of posting this you can see Creed III (2023) is not in advanced search).
