The user interface improvement

Hi there! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :) guys, you have a wonderful app, thanks for this! I just want to tell you hove to improve the user interface: you can add to the film lists on every page user's reaction from the watchlist and rates, something like this

It will be useful for users to manipulate film lists

Thanks, let's make IMDb better together :)

"Film lists" terminology invokes the custom lists users can create.

Based on your screenshot, you appear to be talking about Filmographies, which users can _not_ manipulate.

So your idea is unclear.

I mean every page where you have such view of films, for example Filmographies or the search result page

As for me - it is useful to see what films you have already added to your watchlist or which ones you have already rated. Because there are thousands of films and sometimes you don't remember the titles but in this way, you can be sure you watched some film or it is already in your watchlist

OK, that's clearer.

BTW, I have many more lists than just Watchlist that I want to know about.

Fortunately, there's a user script that tells me what I want to know, and color-code too:

https://openuserjs.org/scripts/AltoRetrato/IMDb_My_Movies_enhancer

Works with TamperMonkey on Chrome, and Firefox.

I'm not sure I understand: I need to install this script to get this feature?

BTW, before I used this site https://www.kinopoisk.ru/ and i took this idea from there

They also have several lists a user can create and you can see to which of them the certain film was added

I don't understand your question "I need to install this script to get this feature?"

Why else would I mention all those details?

"Need", no.

I'm just making you aware that it's out there. It is _not_ an IMDb product. Hence _user_ script.

Research it or don't.

Sorry, I don't understand your position :)

There is an "Idea" subject in the community. I gave an idea. That's all - I just want to make the IMDb more suitable - because I use it a lot.

And I have a sense that you try to tell me that it is useless idea. Okay :) you can tell me about it and do nothing. Or if it cool - you can work on it.

I don't understand how it works

I'm just trying to make you aware of an option that exists now.

Well, this idea is something in which Ricardo Mendonca Ferreira might take an interest. He is the author of the monkey script that bderoes referenced earlier. Creating a plugin, addon, extension or even bookmarklet that provides users with a way to manipulate rating and watchlist directly from an IMDb name page is definitely within the realm of possibility. IMDb actually has an underlying AJAX API for all of this stuff.
